Position Summary
Reporting to the Regional Plant Controller, the Sr. Cost Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly financial closing, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes for the Finance team. They will support the manufacturing teams in multiple Spices locations. They will be responsible for the coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate must have a great attention to detail and analyzation of data to be successful in this role. They must be able to prioritize and complete multiple projects on strict deadlines.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Implement and ensure proper financial and process controls are in place and adhered to.
  • Create and maintain the plants’ absorption-based production standards and actualized cost related activities.
  • Responsible for preparing accurate monthly financial closing activities and reporting.
  • Oversight of process order variance analysis, data integrity, plant spending & Key Performance Indicator metrics.
  • Key contributor and leader from a financial perspective with the on-site team.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams to complete timely forecasts and budgets.
  • Direct internal reviews with Key Stakeholders.
  • Analyze working capital by providing perpetual inventory, monitoring cycle and/or physical inventories, and reporting of variances to senior leadership.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and analyze reporting to be used in decision making.
  • Review ad hoc analysis and perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required.
  • Five (5) years of relevant finance experience is required.
  • Must possess proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, BI, Excel4Apps and other integrated reporting solutions.
  • Excellent teamwork, relationship building, and coordinative skills is required.
  • Must be able to work with diverse team across various geographies is required.
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, presentation, and listening is required.
  • Experience and familiarity with LEAN concepts and design is highly preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required.
