Position Summary |
|||||||||||||
Ensures, supports, and promotes each child’s learning, well being, and development in cooperation with their parents and other early childhood professionals in a manner consistent with the Head Start Performance Standards, USDA, and day care licensing regulations. Based on parent goals, classroom observations and individual child assessments the teacher plans a developmentally and culturally appropriate curriculum which meets the needs of all children and their families.

Education And Experience Requirements | |||||||||||||
Preschool Teacher A – PG C-8, $24.35 Associate’s degree in o Early childhood education or child development; or o Any field and coursework equivalent1 to a major relating to early childhood education or child development AND 6 months of actual work experience teaching preschool age children. Preschool Teacher B - PG C-11, $27.39 Bachelor’s degree or higher in o Early childhood education or child development; or o Any field and coursework equivalent2 to a major relating to early childhood education or child development AND 6 months of actual work experience teaching preschool age children. 1 Oregon Registry Step 9 or higher per degree or college coursework pathway 2 Oregon Registry Step 10 or higher per degree or college coursework pathway |
