General Labor
Summary:
The General Laborer (GL) is the employee that does the tasks on job sites such as but not limited to erosion control, loading & unloading materials, material assembly, and assist with all other general duties as assigned.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written) and work with people under the pressure of deadlines
- Self-motivated
- Team-player with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow all safety and environmental rules & policies
- Ability to safely use a variety of tools such as knives, hammers, shovels, saws, ladders, etc.
- Use of power tools such jumping jacks, plate compactors, pneumatic equipment, etc.
- Knowledgeable and efficient with power tools
- Able to stand, stoop, and bend for long periods of time
- Able to work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Must have excellent attendance
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Goal oriented
