Seasonal Operations Lead

Position Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Operations Lead will oversee day-to-day production activities and support the team in meeting safety, quality, and production goals. The Operations Lead works closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient operations, coach and guide team members, and act as a liaison between production staff and supervisor.
 
Position Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and monitor daily production activities to ensure targets are met.
  • Assign tasks to production team members based on shift priorities and production schedules.
  • Provide hands-on support on the production floor and fill in as needed.
  • Monitor product quality and compliance with safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
  • Report equipment issues, product deviations, or process delays to the Production Supervisor.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of production output, quality checks, downtime and shift notes.
  • Support and train new employees in standard operating procedures and safety practices.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), standard operating procedures (SOP's), and company policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts.
  • Communicate effectively between shifts and across departments to support production flow.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment; leadership or team lead experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate others.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating procedures, production schedules, and specifications.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Able to stand for long periods, walk frequently, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced manufacturing/production setting.
  • Exposure to loud machinery, moving equipment, varying temperatures, and production materials.
  • Requires personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
