Seasonal Quality Assurance Technician

Position Summary
 
Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, the quality technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, sampling and weighing products for color, size and other critical specifications.
 
The ideal candidate will be independent, reliable, and capable of using precision instruments and testing equipment to ensure compliance with product standards and regulatory requirements.
 
Position Responsibilities

  • Inspect and test finished products for quality parameters such as color, size, and weight, ensuring conformity to established specifications.
  • Pull product samples from production lines for analysis against company standards.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and complex testing equipment as needed.
  • Accurately report and communicate product and shift analysis in a timely manner.
  • Provide production with accurate and approved case labels.
  • Identify, correct, and report deviations or unusual findings to the production supervisor.
  • Monitor and record findings on appropriate paperwork and logs.
  • Assist in the oversight of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency preferred
  • Previous experience in quality assurance or food manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow written safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Familiarity with GMP's, HACCP, and food safety standards preferred.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active production environment.
Work Environment
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently walking and standing required.
  • Exposure to loud noises, hot temperatures, and dusty conditions.
  • Must be comfortable working around production machinery and moving equipment.
