Position Summary 

The Warehouse Shipping Clerk is responsible for monitoring the products leaving the warehouse, this includes verifying the order number and product codes match. Monitor all loading of shipments going out to customers to ensure accuracy. Evaluate incoming products, identify any errors. Ensure appropriate completion of all shipping paperwork. 

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and possess the ability to work with computer programs like SAP and Microsoft Excel. Ideal candidate must be willing to walk and stand up to 2 hours per day and sit stationary at a desk for up to 6 hours per day. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Must be dependable, a team player and have good communication skills. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Check in Drivers, complete trailer/truck inspection (7-point inspection) FTL and LTL

o   Driver will provide customer purchase order/ match to pick sheet for outgoing order.  Direct driver to appropriate dock door for loading of product.

  • Complete the Load Distribution Form with truck/trailer information, record lot codes, pallet numbers and case count while the trailer is being loaded. 
  • Verify product for accuracy against the pick sheet. Ensure proper labels have been applied before loading.
  • Complete shipping documents for outgoing customer orders which include the BOL, Pick Sheet, COA and Seal Responsibility.  Collect all original documentation and route to proper record keeping department.
  • Assign seal and install the seal for all full truck loads.
  • Answer Incoming calls from plant and drivers, give directions to facility.
  • Ensure all visitors are signed in and the Outside Contractor and Visitor GMP’s Rules and Confidentiality form has been signed and ID checked.
  • Understand the written program for food safety and employee safety and comply with company standards.
  • Coordination with local transportation company for daily moves from production facility to warehouse and completion of paperwork.
  • Completed Special Project as assigned accurately and timely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalence
  • 6 months - 1 year of experience desired
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP experience preferred. 
  • Bilingual – Spanish/English preferred
